Leola Area Clothing Bank
Corner of Hope clothing bank in Leola (52 West Main St.) on average, distributes 1,775 articles of clothing each month to low income families in need. Also distributed are personal care items including soap and shampoo. Your contributions to this worthwhile outreach where all your gifts are distributed in the local community are both invited and encouraged. Monetary donations are welcomed and volunteer help in operating the clothing bank itself is much appreciated. (Corner of Hope is open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the 4th Saturday of most months from 9 a.m. - noon. Call 656 - 6579 or stop in to tour the facility and learn more.) Clothing items especially needed are new boys or girls shoes (size 1 through 6), new socks, new underwear, new or used children's clothing in good condition, and new or used women's and men's plus sized clothing in good condition. Soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet tissue, feminine hygiene products, baby wash/shampoo, baby wipes, and diaper cream is needed. Won't you please help? It's as easy as buying two bottles of shampoo or toothpaste on your next grocery trip or sorting through your closet and donating clothing you no longer like or wear but is in good shape and still attractive.
